Chicago Hospitals
Chicago has a number of hospitals and health facilities scattered throughout the city, however, there is a section of town, referred to as the Medical District, where you’ll find three major medical centers within blocks of each other. Chicago’s Medical District is located just south of the Eisenhower Expressway, between Ashland Avenue and Ogden Avenue. It houses the campuses of Rush University Medical Center, the University of Illinois Med Center and John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. Other hospitals associated with schools, such as the University of Chicago Hospital in Hyde Park and the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Streeterville are also recognized as excellent teaching institutions with first-rate research programs. North of the Loop, in Lincoln Park is the renowned Children’s Memorial Hospital and just south of there is Lincoln Park Hospital. Find a hospital near you in the list below.
